Towards Malaria Elimination Project
Towards Malaria Elimination (TOME) project is a response to the USAID’s President’s Malaria Initiative and it is being implemented by Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) and Development Aid from People to People (DAPP). TOME project seeks to reduce morbidity and mortality due to malaria by 50% among people in Lilongwe Rural and Salima districts, with a special focus on those most at risk of Malaria especially pregnant women and children under five. In these 2 districts, the project is target 57 health facilities, comprising of CHAM (13) and government (44) owned facilities.
By the end of project implementation period, it will benefit a total estimated 1,380,000 people with malaria prevention messages, supplies provision, testing and treatment in three years.
