CHAM’s partnership with the Ministry of Health continues to yield positive results for the healthcare system in Malawi. This was evident at the 2021/2022 Health Sector Annual Review Meeting which took place at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe on 10th January 2023, where the Executive Director of CHAM Mr. Happy E. Makala had the honor of representing the organization and sharing its contributions to the health sector.
The theme of the meeting was “Sustaining Health Care Gains towards Universal Health Coverage,” and it provided a platform for the Executive Director to share CHAM’s experiences and insights on delivering health services to marginalized communities, and the progress we have made towards universal health coverage.
One of the most exciting moments of the meeting was when the Honorable Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandondo Chiponda MP, commended CHAM for our continued partnership with the Ministry and the impact it has had on the healthcare system.
The Executive Director also had the opportunity to engage with other partners in the health sector such as WHO, UNFPA and discuss strategies to address the challenges facing the healthcare system in Malawi. It was a valuable opportunity to collaborate and find sustainable solutions for improving healthcare for all.
