Member Units

Interested facilities apply to the Executive Director through the church proprietor, with recommendation from the relevant mother body and the prescribed application fee. CHAM Secretariat provides official forms, and approval is granted by the General Assembly after Board recommendation.

Not for profit.
Eligible according to the MoU criteria between Government and CHAM.
Registered by the Medical Council of Malawi and approved by the Ministry responsible for Health.

Facilities that do not qualify under the MoU may apply for associate membership. Associate members do not access MoU-specific benefits, and applicable fees are communicated by the Secretariat as approved by the General Assembly.

Membership may cease by resignation or by decision of at least two-thirds of voting delegates at the General Assembly, usually following Board recommendation where there is persistent non-compliance with CHAM membership conditions.
