- Maintaining the receiving, warehousing and distribution of pharmaceuticals in compliance with the organization and PMRA policies.
- Keeping stock control systems up-to-date by using both automated and manual systems for reconciliation as well as to avoid drug pilferages.
- Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and efficient space utilization while following the warehousing regulation of PMRA.
- Participating in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly stock inventory reports.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Serving as the primary point of contact to USAID/PMI, NMCP and Ministry of Health on the project, as well as private and non-government stakeholders.

- A minimum of 7 years of experience managing donor funds with USAID or other donor-funded health projects preferably as a Chief of Party, or equivalent.

Purpose of the Job
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for the procurement of supplies and equipment, coordinating procurement initiatives and projects, developing and executing of internal procurement systems, providing procurement advice and training, negotiating contracts and ensuring supply chain management as related to CHAM Secretariat and the facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, executing and monitoring procurement guidelines, procedures and policies (internal procurement systems), and ensuring that compliance is achieved across CHAM and the facilities.
- Planning and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual procurement reports.
- Facilitating evaluation of tenders, proposals and quotations and preparation of evaluation reports.
- Preparing pre-qualifications, bid invitations, contracts, bidding documents, request for proposals, and request and quotation documents along with invitations and notice.
- Ensuring accurate recording of all proceedings of IPC and project internal procurement meetings and timely production of minutes.
- Conducting post-qualification and negotiations with successful bidders.
- Preparing, presenting and making recommendations for contract awards to the Internal Procurement Committee (IPC).
- Managing and handling overseas consignments with Malawi Revenue Authority and clearing agents and process the clearances of the consignment.
- Defining and managing key suppliers’ relationships to enhance deliverables in terms of costs, services and quality tenders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognized University.
- Minimum three years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Registered member of the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS).

Position: MALARIA DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICAL OFFICER

Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing and strengthening quality assurance structures, systems, and programs for laboratory staff in supported districts.
- Supporting the development of diagnostic activities and ensuring quality and timely implementation of approved work plan activities.
- Collaborating with NMCP, National Parasitology Reference Laboratory (NPRL) in planning and implementation of malaria activities.
- Providing diagnostic technical support to project team including overseeing technical activities and ensuring high quality of project implementation in supported districts.
- Developing and implementing training, continuing education and supervisory programs for laboratory staff to strengthen quality malaria diagnosis in Malawi, including the development of health learning materials.
- Participating in the development of national laboratory policies and guidelines addressing malaria diagnostics and their utilization.
- Assisting in the dissemination of the malaria case management (diagnostic and treatment) policy.
- Submitting activity and quarterly reports timely.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences.
- Candidates with World Health Organization (WHO) Level 1 or 2 Accreditation Certificate in Malaria Microscopy will have an advantage.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in using new approaches to malaria diagnosis such as Malaria Diagnostic Refresher Training (MDRT).
- Should be familiar with malaria case management programming.
- Experience in conducting Outreach Training and Supportive Supervision approach (OTSS).
- Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer).

Scope of Work
This is a challenging and high profile position requiring the services of an accomplished multi-skilled, highly experienced, visionary and pragmatic individual with proven leadership and management capabilities. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the core function of the Director of Finance and Administration (DOFA) is to provide overall leadership and oversight in the management and administration of finances in CHAM. In addition, the DOFA will provide leadership in the general finance and administrative functions.
Summary of Core Responsibilities:
Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Advising the Executive Director on financial and administrative matters affecting CHAM;
- Coordinating all accounting functions including supervision, mentoring, staff development and conducting performance appraisal for accounting staff;
- Ensuring a sound accounting and internal control system;
- Preparation of financial statements;
- Leading the preparation of annual budgets and management accounts;

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

- ACCA or Master's Degree in a relevant field;
- Minimum of 10 years working experience, 5 of which should be at a similar senior management position with a reputable organization;
