
64 Nursing and Midwifery Students Graduate from Nkhoma College which is under Christian Association of Malawi (CHAM)
On Friday 16 May 2025 Sixty-four students from Nkhoma College of Nursing and Midwifery graduated with diplomas in Nursing and Midwifery, with college authorities urging them to serve with dedication and passion. The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the students, who have undergone rigorous training to become skilled healthcare professionals.

Executive Director for CHAM, Happy Makala, reminded the graduates: “Remember, this graduation a stepping stone into a lifelong career of serving. You are joining a noble profession that demands integrity, empathy, resilience and unwavering commitment to the dignity and well-being of every patient you encountered”
Faith and Service at the Core
Reverend Helmart Kaliza, Vice Moderator of the CCAP Nkhoma Synod, which runs the college, expressed gratitude to God for the student’s successful completion of their studies. He thanked God for bringing these 64 students to this important milestone. “As a Christian institution, our goal is to produce healthcare professionals who will make a meaningful difference in society,” Rev. Kaliza said during the event.
Support from Partners Acknowledged
Rose Mazengera, Principal of the college, commended donor partners, including, CDC and the Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA), for providing scholarships through CHAM secretariate that supported some of the graduating students.
The ceremony underscored the college’s commitment to producing competent and compassionate healthcare workers ready to serve Malawi’s health sector.
